The 85gr Match Burner, specially developed by Barnes for AR15 platforms, was engineered to deliver exceptional accuracy and performance. With a standard velocity of 2600 FPS from an 18? MK12 barrel, we take it further by adding an additional 150 FPS using the Shell Shock NAS3 case. This advanced nickel-alloy case provides an extra 10% case volume, resulting in higher speeds while maintaining lower pressures.

Designed for shooters seeking precision, enhanced velocity, and consistent performance, the 85gr Match Burner with NAS3 technology is ideal for both tactical and long-range applications. This round remains supersonic out to 900 yards at our elevation, allowing shooters to better predict the projectile’s trajectory at extended distances. While Barnes lists a BC of .410, our testing shows a more accurate result of .391 after trueing our data, ensuring you get the most reliable ballistics possible.
